BMW Group Enjoys Best April Global Sales – The BMW Group says it has continued its success in April 2013 with an increase of 6.8% in sales. A total of 155,419 (prev. yr. 145,541) BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce vehicles were sold worldwide last month, according to a statement issued by the car maker. Over the past four months, the number of deliveries climbed 5.7% to a new all-time high of 603,619 vehicles (prev. yr. 571,084), says BWM.

Dirk Müller and John Edwards, driving the No. 56 BMW Z4 GTE, took third place in the 11 May 2013 four-hour American Le Mans Monterey race. A second consecutive podium finish for the No. 56 machine and a win for the No. 55 car at Long Beach in only the third race of the new program keeps BMW in second place in the GT class manufacturer point standings and moves Müller to the top of the GT class driver points, says BMW.
